She has been chosen to represent the university during international study in Croatia where she created a full body of reportage work, along with being chosen to represent the illustration course in travelling to London and producing work to support ongoing research by the Women’s Environmental Network, later being used to produce fundraising textiles for the charity. Her work has been featured in the Made in Redruth and Made in Bodmin publications, St. Austell Printing Companies’ yearly calendar and collective publications.
Influenced by Irish storytelling culture and our place in the global village, her work explores themes of folklore, mythology, heritage, identity and narrative- also keenly interested in the role of illustration in conflict resolution. Her work is highly researched based, integrating reportage into her practice as a form of visual research before expanding to refined illustration.
